FAQ: Why doesn't eWallet open my default browser on my desktop/laptop?

eWallet’s AutoPass feature — enabled by default — supports Google Chrome (and Chromium-based browsers), Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari, depending on the platform.

To change the default browser


  1. Click on the Apple menu and select System Settings…
  2. Choose Desktop & Dock in the left panel
  3. Just over half way down, there’s a menu next to “Default web browser” 
  4. Click on it and choose the browser you want to set as the default


  1. In the Windows Search box, type: default browser and press Enter
  2. When the choice for Windows Default browser pops up, choose your preferred web browser 
  3. Now eWallet should open your preferred web browser when you click a URL in a card in eWallet
