eWallet GO and missing menu soft key

[Archived] – Last Updated:

We have seen reports that some Android devices (for example the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7 devices) running Android OS 6 do not provide an alternative to the missing menu soft key. There appears to be a way to work around the issue though if you have one of the devices with the missing functionality:

  1. Go to phone settings → Accessibility → Dexterity and interaction → Assistant Menu
  2. At the top right, enable the Assistant menu icon on all screens
  3. Tap on the Edit option and deselect all the buttons you do not need by hitting the red negative on the icons (-) in the upper part of the screen
  4. Be sure to leave the “more options” button active!

Now you should see a floating round button with four dots on it in your apps, which includes access to the missing menu button. (From the XDA forums.)

A more permanent solution

Although the old “GO” app is a bit dated at this point, the full eWallet® application is not. eWallet fully supports Android 6 and above and follows the Material Design principles. In addition, eWallet supports more customization and provides full card-level sync via the cloud along with many, many other features. See the eWallet for Android page for more details and this comparison of GO vs full eWallet. Of course of you have any questions about switching over, please do contact us!
