HOWTO: How do I use an @ (at) or & (ampersand) symbol when syncing to my FTP server?

Symbols like the @ and & symbols have to be 'encoded' to be used in the FTP login URL for SyncPro synchronization. The & symbol is %38 and @ symbol is %40
