The most common reason for this problem is because you are also using ActiveWords.

Solutions

  1. Open the Options dialog for ActiveWords, either from the MonitorBar menu or the tray icon menu.
  2. Go to the Operating Mode tab and push the Advanced button.
  3. Check the Disable ActiveWord Buffer box.
  4. Click OK to close the Advanced Operating Mode dialog and OK again to close the ActiveWords Options dialog.

Also, in the presence of the MonitorBar, the current application may lose focus when moving or resizing the InScribe window, or when activating InScribe. Hide the MonitorBar if possible to avoid this inconvenience.
