Getting Started with Android eWallet

The Android version of eWallet is designed to help you organize and encrypt your personal data within a wallet file.  The Android version of eWallet comes with a default "Sample Wallet" wallet file to give you some ideas on how you can organize your specific data within our program.

To create a new wallet:

  1. Open the eWallet program.
  2. At any wallet log-in screen, tap the "Wallets" button to navigate to the master list of wallet files on your device.
  3. Tap the Plus (+) button in the upper right-hand corner of the display to choose to create a new wallet file.
  4. Enter a name and password and password hint for your wallet file.
  5. Tap Create to finish creating your new wallet file.

Information cards can only be created WITHIN a category.  To start entering your data into eWallet create a few basic categories to sort your cards into.

To create a category:

  1. Open your wallet file.
  2. Tap the (+) button in the upper right-hand corner.
  3. Set a name for your new category and set the other options as you would prefer.
  4. Tap the Save icon in the lower left-hand corner to save your changes and finish creating your category.

After creating some categories to sort your data into, you can start creating cards.

To create a card:

  1. Open your wallet file.
  2. Tap the category you'd like to create a new card in.
  3. Tap the (+) button in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Tap "New Card".
  5. Select a basic card type as your template.
  6. Then set a name for your new card and begin entering your data.
  7. Tap the Save icon in the lower left-hand corner to save your changes and finish editing your card.

When things or your personal information changes you can edit or delete your existing cards.

To edit a card:

  1. Open your wallet file to the category that contains the card you'd like to edit.
  2. Tap and hold on the card to reveal more options.
  3. Tap "Edit" to enter Edit Mode.
  4. Edit the appropriate information.
  5. Tap the Save icon in the lower left-hand corner to save your changes and finish editing your card.

To delete cards, categories or wallets that are no longer necessary:

  1. Tap and hold on the card/category/wallet to reveal more options. 
  2. Tap "Delete" and then confirm that you would like to delete the item.
