eWallet 7 for Mac features synchronization with Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad); our original Mac Preview does not have synchronization support. If you have the Preview installed, you need to download and install the full eWallet for Mac.
eWallet synchronization with Apple iOS devices works over a local WIFI connection between your Mac and your mobile device. If your computer connects to your wireless router with an ethernet cablet, you should still be able to sync. You cannot sync via USB.
Since the sync process works using a network connection, anything that disrupts the network connection between your Mac and Apple mobile device could prevent you from syncing.
If eWallet cannot find your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, or if it cannot connect after detecting it, check the following:
- If your Mac has firewall software not included with Mac OS X, set an exception for eWallet or disable the whole firewall temporarily. (See here for a list of ports to allow.)
- Reboot your WIFI router or access point, as well as your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
- Reset the network settings on your iOS device, by going to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. You will have to log in to your WIFI network again.
