FAQ: I updated eWallet on my iPhone and now my wallets are gone.

Early versions of iPhone OS 2 (the first version to support installing apps from the App Store) had problems retaining application data when updating applications through the App Store or via iTunes. Apple resolved most of these problems in updates to iPhone OS 2.

iTunes and the iPhone OS handle the entire application download, install, update, and uninstall process. eWallet is not involved in any of them. If you apply an update and lose your eWallet data, the data loss happened as a result of something outside of eWallet itself. (For example: if iTunes decides to uninstall and reinstall an application during an iTunes sync, by design of the iPhone OS, your application data will be erased when the app is uninstalled.)

We strongly suggest that you synchronize your eWallet data to your Windows desktop computer using our desktop eWallet, which maintains a backup outside of iTunes or anything that Apple controls.
