Open the desktop ListPro file you wish to sync with and choose File -> Synchronization from the menus. Follow the instructions to sync the data to your device and have the desktop lists overwrite the Palm lists. HotSync, and from then on it should synchronize normally.

If this does not help, make sure that you do not have too many category values on the desktop. You can have only 32KB worth of category values synced to a Palm device. If your category values are very long , or very numerous, you can exceed this amount on the desktop. Synchronizing your device will then result in the error.

Try to reduce the number of category values, or shorten them. You may want to switch to a string column or similar if all of your category values are unique or very descriptive. The category column is not designed to hold large quantities of text.
