How to Use List Exchange Lists
To use any of the lists above with ListPro, just do the following:
- Click on the list name to download the list file you're interested in
- On a Windows PC, just open that file by double-clicking it
- On a Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Smartphone:
- Use Active-Sync to copy the file to the My Documents folder on your device (\My Device\My Documents on a Pocket PC, \IPSM\My Documents or \Storage\My Documents on a Smartphone)
- Open the list file using ListPro on your Pocket PC or Smartphone
- On a Palm Handheld:
- Select Import Lists from the Tools menu using ListPro on your desktop, with your currently synchronized lists file open
- Import the list(s) you want using Import Lists, then HotSync your Palm. The lists you imported will be copied to your Palm.
If you get a message that says "Your file cannot be opened; wrong database version number", you're using an earlier version of ListPro. Read how to upgrade your copy.
List Exchange Information
To send us a list for consideration for the List Exchange, just email your file (in ListPro .clf format) to service@iliumsoft.com.
Due to the number of lists we receive, we can only add some of the lists we receive. Lists are selected on the basis of general interest and/or useful information. Please prepare your list using the "Item" column as the first column after initial checkboxes or flags. The column may be renamed but the Item column should be used to allow for proper indentation.
Please do not send lists of the following types:
- any lists that are basically templates rather than having their value in their content (for example, your travel expenses, your shopping lists)
- any lists that are duplications of those already on this page, or those which are included in the ListPro Sample Lists
- lists containing under 100 items
- any discographies or bibliographies
- any song lyrics, book text, or other copyrighted material
No purchase is necessary, as you can use a trial version of ListPro to build your list files, but all submissions must be in .clf form. All lists become the property of Ilium Software and cannot be returned.
The original sender of any list file or portion of a list file posted on this page by Ilium Software will receive a free copy of ListPro from Ilium Software on any one platform (PDA version OR desktop PC version.) Unfortunately, Ilium Software cannot award the Professional Edition of any software as a List Exchange submission prize. Ilium Software reserves the right to select one product winner in the case of duplicated list contents, as well as to reject any submitted list.
If the list sender has already purchased ListPro, he or she will receive his or her choice of a refund of the original purchase price, or a free copy of any other product instead. Refunds are only available to people who bought ListPro directly through Ilium Software, not from any reseller or distributor, and only on copies of ListPro purchased in the last 90 days. We will give a maximum of 2 products to any list submitter.
