What is the cost to switch and how do I purchase eWallet 6.1?
All eligible FlexWallet licenses have been converted to eWallet licenses, so that eWallet’s upgrade policies will apply to current registered users of FlexWallet.

Free Upgrades: If you bought FlexWallet between September 17, 2007 and December 17, 2007, your upgrade to eWallet 6.1 is free. To ensure your privacy, WebIS is keeping your FlexWallet purchase information. You should have received an email from WebIS telling you how to get your free upgrade.

You can use this form on the WebIS website to check your upgrade eligibility.

Upgrade Discounts: If you bought FlexWallet before September 17, 2007, you are eligible for an upgrade discount to eWallet 6.1. The upgrade discount is $10.00 for any one platform, or $16.95 for both your Windows PC and one mobile device. Is WebIS sending my FlexWallet purchase information to Ilium Software?
No. For your privacy, your FlexWallet purchase information will be kept by WebIS, and your upgrade email for eWallet 6.0 would have been sent through them in December 2007. If you can't find the email, you can use this form on the WebIS website to check your upgrade eligibility.

 

Do I have to switch to eWallet?
No, but as of December 17, 2007, FlexWallet is no longer being produced as a separate program. The release of eWallet 6.0 combined the best features of both FlexWallet and eWallet. In addition to joining together the earlier functionality of both programs, eWallet 6.0 also added many great new features to protect your important data. The July 2008 release of eWallet 6.1 brings still more features to the new program. Read all the new features

 

Can I switch to eWallet later?
Sure. If you aren't sure that you want to switch right now, you can always switch over at a later time.

 

Is switching over to eWallet difficult?
Not at all. It's as simple as opening your old FlexWallet wallet in eWallet on your Windows PC. eWallet does the rest.

 

I can't get this conversion to work! What do I do?
Contact us! We're more than happy to help you get this working. We want to make the switch as easy as possible.

 

eWallet starts up really slowly! Can I improve the start-up speed?
YES, you can! Some users have experienced slow start-up times when using large numbers of custom icons in eWallet. We plan to improve this in an upcoming update for eWallet, but if you experience this problem, we suggest deleting icons you are not currently using. Here's how:

Custom icons and icons from icon packs are installed the My Documents/eWallet/Graphics and sounds folder on your device. Just delete the icons from this folder the same way you would delete any other file. Any of your cards that use icons you delete will revert to the default icon for that card type. Of course you can then change them to use other icons.

 

Will my mobile device convert my FlexWallet wallet?
No. You must convert your file using the desktop version of eWallet and then synchronize the wallet with your mobile device.

 

Style and Appearance

I like the way FlexWallet looks. I don't want eWallet's "Card Style" display.
Good news! eWallet 6.1 includes the new Flex View, a format that emulates the FlexWallet grid style display. You can choose between Flex View or a card style display for your cards. See a comparison of the two products

 

I like the FlexWallet card templates better than eWallet's.
When eWallet converts your FlexWallet wallet, it automatically copies all your templates as well, adding them to the eWallet template file.

 

eWallet doesn't have as many icons as FlexWallet does.
When we joined with WebIS, we also released a FlexWallet icon pack. This will install all 201 FlexWallet icons so that you can use them in eWallet. Download the icon pack

 

What will happen to custom icons I added to FlexWallet?
eWallet can detect these and will automatically place copies of them in the appropriate eWallet folders. Your cards and categories will continue to use the same icons in eWallet as they did in FlexWallet.

 

Will eWallet use the same icons I selected for my FlexWallet cards and categories?
Yes. eWallet will remember what icons you selected for your cards in FlexWallet and use those same icons in eWallet. If you used one of the 201 icons built into FlexWallet, you'll need to install the FlexWallet icon pack before they will appear.

 

I like eWallet's card style display. Can I use that for my FlexWallet cards?
Yes. You can choose between Flex View, a style similar to FlexWallet's grid style display, and Card Style display for your cards.

 

Using Your Data

I've made the switch and now I need help using eWallet.
There are several built-in features that can help you learn to use eWallet. Open the program on the desktop and go to the Help menu at the top.

Select "Getting Started" for an intro of eWallet's main features. The "eWallet Tutorials" take you step-by-step through learning the most common eWallet tasks. You can also view all of our help documents on our site.

 

What happens to my old FlexWallet wallet when I switch?
Nothing at all. The conversion process will not make any changes to your old FlexWallet wallet. eWallet copies the data over from the your FlexWallet wallet into a newly created eWallet wallet.

 

What about my customized templates?
All your templates, including the ones you've customized, are copied over to the eWallet template file when you convert your FlexWallet wallet.

 

Will my data still synchronize with my mobile device?
Yes, but you will need to set up synchronization. For more information on setting up synchronization in eWallet, visit this page.

 

Who do I contact if I need support?
eWallet on Windows Mobile, Palm, Windows PC and U3 devices will be supported by Ilium Software, so you can contact us for help; eWallet on BlackBerry will be supported and maintained by WebIS.
