Ilium Software Releases eWallet 5.0

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

ANN ARBOR, Mich.–December 13, 2006 – Ilium Software announces the release of eWallet 5.0, its award-winning secure information and password manager. eWallet is available for Windows Mobile Pocket PCs and Smartphones, Palm OS handhelds, Windows PC, and the new version adds support for Windows Vista and UMPCs as well.

eWallet 5.0 offers many enhancements to synchronization, including a new, easy-to-use Sync Setup Interface, and more synchronization options to allow users to keep their data current on all their devices. With eWallet 5.0, users can sync to multiple PCs, PDAs, or computers on a network, as well as USB storage devices and external hard drives, and even remote locations on the web. Ilium Software has partnered with FilesAnywhere to provide an online data storage solution for your secure information. With FilesAnywhere you can automatically synchronize all your wallet files on your Windows PC to a secured location and access that data from any computer with an internet connection. This partnership gives users the ability to maintain a secure, online backup of their information, and access their data from any computer with an Internet connection and eWallet installed.

Also included in eWallet 5.0 is complete support from the Windows Vista Mobile Device Center, and password protection that is always turned on. And with this latest release, Ilium Software has updated the look of the program with a brand-new set of icons. Users will also be able to customize their cards even more with four free, self-installing icon packs available for download on Ilium Software’s website.

The features that helped make eWallet a top-rated secure information manager are still available in eWallet 5.0, such as 256-bit encryption, a built-in password generator, and complete customization of cards, categories, and wallet files. eWallet allows users to have nested categories and multiple wallet files, so their information is available whenever they need it, in the format that suits their needs best.

More information about eWallet, including how to upgrade to eWallet 5.0, can be found on Ilium Software’s website.
