Ilium Software Releases eWallet 4.0

Ilium Software, makers of Simple Software for a Simpler Life, today announced the availability of Ilium Software eWallet® 4.0, the new and most advanced version yet of the company’s multiple-award winning software utility for Microsoft Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs, Smartphones, Palm Powered handhelds and Windows operating systems. Incorporating many new features, including nested categories, shareable wallet files, and exciting new SyncPro™ technology, eWallet makes secure storage and organization of credit card numbers, passwords, health information, PINs and other confidential data easier and simpler than ever.

Leading the list of upgrades in Version 4.0 is SyncPro, a new two-way synchronization technology that allows users to simultaneously update information between their Windows PC and Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC or Smartphone. Nested categories, another improvement, supports the creation of subcategories within categories. Similar to Windows file management structures, nested categories enable users to organize personal information more intuitively—for example, by creating subcategories for personal and work-related credit cards—with complete password protection as needed.

New Toolbar, Password Hint Option
Several upgrades in Version 4.0 enable users to navigate eWallet faster. An updated toolbar makes it easy to access eWallet features; in Pocket PC, eWallet now supports the landscape orientation that is a part of Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. eWallet 4.0 also includes a helpful “password hint” feature, allowing users to create a hint that reminds them of their password when they wish to open the wallet or any password-protected categories or files.

To make sharing eWallet information easier in a workgroup environment, eWallet 4.0 gives users the opportunity to post files in a directory on a network. The first user can write to the file, while others have read-only access.

Pricing, Availability
eWallet 4.0 is available now for Windows Mobile-based Pocket PCs and Smartphones (including Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition devices) as well as for Windows PCs running Windows XP.
